Bio-oil customer base expands to new demanding end-users

03.10.2014

The bio-oil customer base expands to new demanding end-users when Memorial Hospital (MaineHealth) in US starts utilizing a renewable liquid fuel, bio-oil (RFOTM).

A demanding critical user of society, Memorial Hospital, has started utilizing bio-oil, which fully displace the use of petroleum heating fuels. As a result the hospital’s greenhouse gas emissions from heating fuels reduce approximately 85 %. At the same time cost of energy production is reduced.

”Critical end-users of society that require high operational reliability are a potential customer group for bio-oil also in Finland. Liquid bio-oil made of domestic renewable forest-based raw material is also a guarantee of security of supply and fuel availability in all situations”, says Green Fuel Nordic Oy’s CEO Timo Saarelainen.
